The College continues to receive the blessings of Syt. Basant Kumar ji Birla - Chairman B. K. Birla Group of Companies and Smt. Sarala ji Birla.
The College offers UG Programmes in Arts, Science and Commerce and PG Programmes in Botany, Biotechnology, Bioanalytical Sciences, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Herbal Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, Microbiology, Zoology, Hindi, Marathi, History, Political Science, Commerce and E-Commerce and Ph.D. in Botany, Biotechnology, Physics, Microbiology, Chemistry-Nanotechnology, Hindi and History. The College also conducts three year B.M.S., B.Com. (A&F), B. Com. (B&I), B.M.M., and 18 months PGDMLT programme. The College has taken initiatives to introduce several need-based interdisciplinary Career Oriented 'Add-on' courses. The College is a Study Centre of YCMO University, Nashik for B.A., B.Com., B.Lib. and I.Sc. and M.B.A. courses and IDOL, University of Mumbai for UG and PG courses. We have also proposed to commence B. Com (Financial Management), NCC Studies and M. A. (Business Economics) from the A.Y. 2014-15
The College was accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the UGC with a 5 Star status in 2002 , Re-accredited and awarded 'A' Grade with CGPA – 3.37 in 2008 and Reaccredited (Third Cycle) and awarded 'A' Grade with CGPA – 3.58 . The UGC has identified our college under the scheme "College with Potential for Excellence" (CPE). The UGC has also sanctioned Centre for Foreign Languages, Centre for Epigraphy, Centre for Yoga - Philosophy and Practice under CPE scheme. The College has been awarded the "Best College Award" (in the Urban category) by the University of Mumbai. The College has been certified with the ISO 9001: 2008 . T he College has been awarded 'IMC - RBNQ Performance Excellence Trophy – 2011' in Education. The College has been sanctioned Rs.1.00 Crore under the FIST (Fund for Improvement of Science and Technology Infrastructure) Programme of DST (Department of Science and Technology) to strengthen Teaching and Research Facilities in all Science Departments. The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi, has also sanctioned Rs. 55.00 lacs under the Star College Scheme to various Departments (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Microbiology).
The College has a vibrant work culture and a holistic approach to education is encouraged. The simultaneous development of the intellectual, physical, cultural and emotional faculties of the students is achieved through various academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The results have always been much higher than the University results. Few students figure in the University Merit Lists every year. In extra-curricular activities including NCC, NSS, etc., the performance of students is excellent.
